BACKDATED POST! Summer of 2012
So it's after Summer already and on hindsight, I did a ton of dancing during summer O.O Did I improve out of all this? I honestly don't know. HAHAH. I can't tell but I feel like I can catch choreo a whole lot faster and I have learned so much from these experiences!
And here is my attempt to record what I did in a somewhat chronological order!

1. SUPER24

Us and our awesome teacher! (We didnt get a photo with Ryezal tho:( )

3. H2O Ultimate Dance competition 2012
The first ever dance competition that I signed on to involuntarily with a self/group-choreographed item! Thank God for these awesome people who just randomly signed me up, and for Luke, our senior who so awesomely guided us the entire way:)

I broke the 20 barrier! Birthday post 1!

I broke the 20 barrier yesterday on the 17th of October! yeahuh!!! IM OLD.
Anyhoo, i was going through the day sulky cause even my parents didnt wish me when they saw me in the morning so the many FB posts and twitter messages and whatsapps and smses didn't put a smile on my face and I think when Sophia Yeo saw me she was like dampened by my mood.

Anyway when we finally had our Finance meeting and my head was dying from the information plus my sulkiness (which Simran effectively quelled during finance--thank you hon^^), I was greeted with a SURPRISE:D
by my wonderful exco! (excluding Kat cause she didnt get over on time but THANK YOU KAT FOR THE <3) And I was oovoo-ed by Qian, Jiaqi, and Jiaju as well ^^ Thank you dears! Oh so much I really teared and was super touched!

Photobooth shot!

I really thought no one cared cause I was being horrid in the week before :( aii. stupid times. And I really felt most sorry to Sophia cause she experienced the full brunt of my anger when asking me if I was free on Wednesday. LOL. long story! But really xoxoxs to all of you <3

And to my seniors who wanted to show me some love, sorry I couldnt stay:(
To Joanna, my spiritual mummy, THANK YOU FOR THE SURPRISE VIDEO! <3
To my cousins, thank you for the video wish as well:) SO KEWT. I'd post them here if I could ahhaha. (And to Auntie Elaine for filming!!!)

I need to explain before I go that my birthday, in all of it's significance as my 20th year on God's given earth, is a day in which I must accord to and honor my parents with. They have brought me up since I was a teeny tot and I thank God for them, who are my bestest friends and for taking care of me these 20 years of my life despite my 20 years of nonsense as well.

Thank you God for this 2nd DECADE--wow I've come so far it's scary D: And thank God for divinely ordaining me to be where I am; in my family, school, dance, etc etc. <3

"All the days ordained for me
were written in Your book
before one of them came to be."
(Psalm 139:16b, NIV)

And as an ACS-ian, I must end off with
To God be the Glory, the best is yet to be.

SHUT UP AND DANCE 2012

When all else fails, SHUT UP AND DANCE!

All in all, SUAD2012 was an awesome experience with the EURHYTHMIX family! We were small in number (23 dancers) compared to the 50 odd dancers that took the stage for every other item but WE DID GOOD:)

SUAD2012 was an awards-based theme, where each item was given a famous artist to dance to. And we got RIHANNA! We did a medley of 3 songs, of which I performed in 2!
1. Pon De Replay: by Audrey and Sherrie; a more reggaeton-type item which was groovy and super fun to do:)
2. S&M: by Sherrie, her Vivace Piece! A sexy girls hiphop item, which was totally NOT FOR ME. hahaha
3. Where Have You Been: by Gin Lam, rearranged by Sherrie. We did this piece for Convocation 2012 and there we wowed the audience with the explosiveness from the seniors! This time around we, the 'juniors' had to step it up and Sherrie put me centre which was D: but forced me to really give EVERYTHING. Rachel said it was prolly the hardest I danced. HAHAHA. Oh man... makes me wonder what I was doing all along:/ anyhoo... WHEEEE. I think it was decent lah! (tbcont at the end...)

The after production polaroid with EMIX!

Stephanie, my creative director:)
(and a closeup of my rainbow makeup:) likka toucan)

On stage after the performance!

The 11th Exco girls! w/o steph cause she was off someplace else D:

With Fuhuahua! Thanks dear for your friendship:) You've grown so much as a dancer! <3

And finally, with Ash Ali! Whom I managed to catch after the performance! He choreo-ed a BOYBAND themed item which was stunning. Wished I was in it! HAHA.
(cont from above...) So when I saw Ahmad at the end he made a few comments about my dance (and my make up) and was like "Cass! So proud of you you improved so much! Centre sommore! I'm really proud of you!"
I think my reaction was not elated enough even though my heart was doing flips from the inside LOL. SO HAPPY! My first choreographer that literally brought me up from nothing and gave me my first DAMN OFFICIAL stage said that much of me:) (Y)

weehee. great night. one item but nonetheless, AWESUM

Thank you God for this experience, for the words, for the friends, for the <3
EMIX FTW XD

FB posts I thought I should share:)

When we complain about our current situation, we remain in it; when we praise God in the midst of difficulty, He raises us out of it. The best way to start the day is with gratitude and thanksgiving. Get a jump on the devil. If you don't fill your thoughts and conversations with good things, he will definitely fill them with evil things. Truly thankful people do not complain, they are so busy being grateful.

Have a blessed week.

Broken but not defeated

The past week has been somewhat trying and very faith-testing. Alot of event happened to me in my circle of friends in school. Between peers whom I wholly trusted and shared so many memories with.

Okay the scenario is as such. I told my friend certain things that should not have been said in full confidentiality. News got out, vicarious anger caused simple words to turn to malice, and my every intention and action was judged there after. So within a matter of days, I lost almost all my 'friends'.

Looking back at the spiteful tweets, I realised they were all geared toward me. "They should have negative voting", "It's amazing how power can turn a person so ugly" etcetc. I was so broken. What had i done. This was not me. I had become a bitch and it got viral.

I thank God for the seniors and friends who supported me and knew my heart. I sought forgiveness from my friend and clarified matters. She did forgive me. But the damage was done. The news had gotten out, and not in time for elections.

I didn't want to run for President anymore. After all, who'd vote for me? But I wondered if this was truly God's calling at all. But in faith I move.
So i made my speech for presidency and marketing director just yesterday.

And i knew it was truly from God.

It was HORRIBLE. But the overwhelming peace and security that I got indeed washed away all my pain and regret and I knew. That no matter the outcome, I would rejoice!:D In knowing that He, my Lord and King, would be ruler over all things!

I know people may think that I will be disappointed. But I know that I will not. Cause I gave it all to God:)

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:10

Thanks MingChin for the song that really ministered to me:)

And thank you Joanna for this verse:)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39

Thank you God

FCBS 2012

YUPP. I'm proud to be a student of FCBC's 2012 batch of Bible School students!
Thank you God for this opportunity, a truly fruitful way to spend my summer holidays:) It's been tough travelling from west to east, waking up at 5.30am each morning, then going for late night trainings... ARGH. BUT BU THE GRACE OF GOD... I survived:D

The experience was thoroughly exciting and I learned so much from all the classes. I NEED TO READ MY BIBLE. There is so much History and just so much honor and awe that we can accord to God. I'm like WHOA. half the time I'm just being so amazed at God's creations and His divine plans and power. (the other half I'm doodling and falling asleep) but STILL.
ahhhhh. now I have a bunch of requirements to complete before i can get my cert. HALP:(
